In-game communication problems.

I play Sea of Thieves and there is player to player communications between players in the game as you most likely know, and I am unable to speak to other players and this is not due to wrong input for my audio on any of the apps but it is due to the inability to change my family settings, and yes I have tried leaving my family group, to no avail I have added someone over the age of 18 as both a member and a organizer to no avail I am still unable to change my privacy settings, please get back to me with a solution because it is starting to get frustrating because I would like to have a vital part of the game accessable to me. Thank You.

Unfortunately, child accounts cannot change their Xbox profile privacy settings. Doesn't matter if they are on a family group or not. Also, changing your Microsoft account birthdate does not change your Xbox profile birthdate. So if you try to change it to make yourself an adult, it will not work. The Xbox profile birthdate is set when you create your Xbox profile and cannot be changed.

Your only option here if you need to change your privacy settings is to ask a parent to create a family group (if there isn't one already), invite you to the group as a member and change your privacy settings for you.

Sometimes it takes a little while for everything to sync up. Also, remember the time the ban/suspension is to expire is in UTC time not local time. Hope this helps.

If all suspensions are expired, and you are therefore clear, try the following steps:

Remove your account from the Xbox.
Give your Xbox a power cycle.
Add your account back into the Xbox.
Attempt to use the social features now
