    Impossible to launch FFIX on Xbox One - error code 0X803f900a


    Hi all,

    From the past few days, I can no longer open FFIX on my Xbox one. The error code listed above states that I either need to connect with the profile that purchased the game (it's the case) or renew my game pass (it hasn't expired...). So not sure what I can do...

    When I go to the store and search for FFIX it says that it is installed.

    FF9 has left game pass, I’m not clear whether you’ve purchased it.
    I haven't but it says the game is installed. Probably need to uninstall it and see what happens...

    In the meantime I did the reset with keep games and apps as suggested above...I fear I will loss my progress in the game though...

    If you haven't yet, please try the steps mentioned in this link: Troubleshoot game issues on Xbox | Xbox Support
    If the issue still persists, Our suggestion here, attempt a Soft Factory Rest Xbox Support by selecting the following:
    Reset and keep my games & apps. You should use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

    All good indeed. After the reset it was no longer shown as installed and I had to purchase it. Data not lost. Thanks!
