    Impossible to get the account back.


    Hi.

    Microsoft is terribly frustrating me.

    My child's microsoft account got hacked. Years ago, I bought a few games on his account like minecraft, minecraft dungeons.

    So I need to get the account back because he still plays those games from time to time.

    I tried https://account.live.com/acsr site so many times but no luck.(Hacker changed recovery email address.)

    I tried online chat support. This AI chat bot is not helpful at all. It keeps leading me to the website(https://account.live.com/acsr) only.

    I called support team and what I heard is that account recovery can be made only by online.

    I spent many hours and many days for nothing and my child still asks me when he can get his account back.

    Please help me get the account back.

    Sorry, if you're unable to provide the support team with the exact information they are looking for they cannot start an unauthorized use ticket for you. They need to verify very specific things, and if it's been that long since the account hasn't been in
    your possession than more than likely the person that did take it changed information around and lots of it, so if they were not able to verify this then unfortunately you will not be able to get the account back and their decision was indeed correct.

    No one on the support forum would be able to look into this as phone support are the only ones that can make UA requests, if they can't verify information then the claim is instantly denied. One of those key pieces of information that are needed is the console's
    serial number and console id, among other things.

    Hi Blinkered,

    I'm really sorry for your problem.

    And your problem is quite serious, but if the phone support couldn't help you, then you probably wont be able to recover your account, even because it was banned from the system ( the "code of conduct" message in your bio ).

    Anyway, you should inform here the service number (from your phone support) to help the members of the support team that act at this forum to help you faster.

    You should also provide the support team more information (like, what was your hacked gamertag? The serial number was really important). It will be quite hard for them to help without any substatial information.

    Usually Xbox LIVE Support will assist you more if you are an Xbox LIVE Gold Member, try getting a membership and then contacting their support phone number.
