    Importing playlists from iTunes in xbox on windows 8.1 phone


    I copied my iTunes data structure to the sd card of my phone and xbox imported all the songs and playlists automatically. I have updated the playlists in iTunes and copied the updated library files to my sd card but I can't find a way to force xbox to reimport.
    Changing from sd to the local disk does not work. Any suggestions from experience?

    Xbox Music Pass not syncing playlist from PC

    I have just started the 30 day trial for Xbox Music Pass. I have connected both my Windows 8.1 PC and Windows Phone 8 to the pass. I have set both the applications settings to use the Cloud collection.

    On my PC I created a playlist. The playlist instantly appeared on my Windows Phone. On my PC I added some songs to the playlist from the catalog. The playlist on my phone is empty. I logged into Web Server's Default Page and
    can see the songs there. The icon appears beside the songs that say they are synced to the cloud, but on my phone still has 0 songs in the playlist.

    What do I need to do to have the songs appear in my Windows Phone playlist?

    Hi. Thanks for the response. My account is connected. There are only 4 playlist in there which were the playlists I created on my PC and XBOX back in October 2012. Since then I've added new playlists and those lists do not appear on my phone. I have a feeling
    that automatic playlist syncing is something that happens with XBOX to Windows 8.1 devices only and does not happen with WP8 unless it's done manually by connecting the phone to the PC and transferring the playlists over through the Windows Phone app.

    Hey there, did you try the program "doubleTwist" already?

    I used it to import my iTunes playlists to my windows phone 8.

    Didn't try it with Xbox music or zune tho.

    Hope this can help a little ;)

    Well I can agree sofar that both systems, Xbox Music and iTunes, make it difficult for the other to import Music files but what I really do not understand is, that it is not possible to import a playlist library in an itunes TXT format.

    Specially as Xbox whats users to use the Cloud Service - XBox Music Pass I imagin it to be easy finding a Artist and Songtitle based on the TXT library you can export from iTunes.

    I would be ready to pay EUR 100 a year for Xbox Music but to start again from the beginning creating all the playlists, no thanks!

    Actually, I think the original question was if there's a way to just transfer the playlists as they are in iTunes into Xbox Music without potentially having to recreate all the playlists. I don't think the question was regarding compatibility...because they
    are compatible. Xbox, Windows and WP8 are all able to play songs downloaded from iTunes.

    To answer the question though... I think it depends on how you have your music files organized on your hard drive. If your songs on your hard drive are not organized the way you have your iTunes playlists, you will have to recreate them in Xbox Music. If
    on your hard drive your music is organized into those playlists you love and don't want to have to recreate, then you are able to import those playlists right into Xbox Music. I've done it. Actually I'm working on it right now and am in the middle of switching
    everything over to Xbox Music, Video, etc.
