Immovable Start Menu shortcuts for Game Pass Ultimate downloads

Okay. That's what I was afraid of. I was able to remove every game I'd downloaded thru Steam, Twitch, and Epic Launcher, but I guess MS put some kind of block on the games you download with Game Pass.

This is a pretty strange question, I know, but is there any way to get rid of the shortcuts that appear on the Start Menu when I download a game via the Xbox (beta) app? I have a folder in my Start directory where I collect all of my game shortcuts, and
while it's not a big deal, it irritates me that I have a Cities: Skylines shortcut in my Games folder and another Cities: Skylines shortcut in the general Start Menu.

When I look in the directories for both the user-specific and general Start Menus, the shortcuts for the Game Pass games aren't there. Even when I right-click those shortcuts, I don't see the option to "Open file location" like I do with every other app.

I assume this is a consequence of using the Xbox app to download these games but I haven't been able to figure out a workaround.

If your talking about the long list of rows like "all programs" list, you can't remove installed items from that list. If he's talking about something on the metro start menu, the tiles, he can right
click and unpin those.

The only way to remove the games from that long list is to uninstall the game/app.
But the tiles can be removed from the metro start menu, the space to the right of the long list.

my games tend to go to my start menu and shortcut added to my home screen if i chose the option for shortcut to be added.
