    I'm trying to watch Star Wars 4k blu Ray and keep getting video flickering.


    I was trying to watch Star Wars today and while using the 4k blu ray, it keeps having handshake errors which causes flickering. I get a HDR10 message and temporary black screen on my tv every 3 to 5 minutes. I Just joined the alpha ring last week.

    LG HDMI Ultra HD Deep Color issue (Screen flickering)

    My 4k TV isn't 3D, but my Vizio in the bedroom is. Barely used it so I wasn't concerned about having it on the 4k TV. With regular 4k content like from Netflix, I'm not having any issues as long as Deep Color is turned off, if it's on, then I get the flickering
    again. Same thing happens with Blu-rays. Still don't have any 4k Blu-ray discs to try though.

    Well.... After much disc swapping, power pressing, and other assorted asshattery, I am now able to play, um, Outlast some crazy how. I'm confused. I'm just going to watch Star Wars on blu ray. At least Star Wars is always there for me.

    You realise it has a 4k blu-ray drive? This is the main reason I'm getting one, it's about half the price of 4k blu-ray players in the UK.

    that's a pretty good question right there. I own 3(?) 4k uhd movies right now and I can say personally that the visual quality is superior to blu ray buy itself and the difference between it and the older dvd standard is glaringly obvious when you pop the
    disc in. I refuse to buy the blu ray star wars movie until the 4k disc for that movie comes out.
