I'm trying to Stream my PC to my Xbox one but it disconnects as soon as it connects.

i previously restricted access to the Microsoft edge folder because i didn't want to use Bing instead of Google. so i thought that might be the problem. in order to Fix it i ran the "icacls * /t /q /c /reset" CMD Prompt in my Administrator account. but that didn't seem to fix the issue. any suggestions would help!

We understand that you are trying to stream your PC to your Xbox One and is unable to because you were trying to use Googe than Bing. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

We would like to confirm few things:

May we know how did you set up the streaming of your PC to Xbox One?
Also, are you trying to set Google as search engine and not Bing?

We previously consulted this to our Internal Support Team and here is what they suggest. On your Xbox One Console, go to Microsoft Store and search for Xbox Wireless Display app and install. Next, you will need to go to your computer's notification bar and look for Connect (see screenshot below) then look for Xbox One Console. You need to Allow Input for your Xbox Controller for the permission. Then watch and test if you can launch your favorite browser in your Xbox One.

Should you like to set Google as your default search engine, please follow the steps from this link: Change your default search engine in Microsoft Edge - Microsoft Support.

I'll try to connect this account to the microsoft store and disconnect to see if it goes away. Why do I think I had this problem because I reset my pc with the account connected, but soon after I turned on the pc I disconnected but it remained connected to the xbox website.

No, it's not the game streaming that's not working. I've never had an issue streaming with the Xbox app on PC. It's the new Wireless Display app on Xbox One that I'm having the issue with. My PC just will not connect to it.
