I'm trying to play EA Play games using Xbox Gamepass Ultimate

Salutations! This may be occuring because said game may require you to have an EA Play membership(see here for more information: https://www.ea.com/ea-play ). The EA Play membership comes standard with the Xbox Gamepass Ultimate subscription. You are using the regular Xbox Gamepass from what I'm hearing. You may need to buy the EA Play membership.

Gold for online play on console

Gamepass for gamepass games on console

Gamepass PC for games on pc with ea play attached

Ultimate gamepass - Gold, Gamepass, Gampass PC, EA Play and xcloud.

I can log into Xbox PC Gamepass fine and play Xbox games. But when I try to play an EA Play game(The Saboteur this morning) it doesn’t allow me to play and redirects me to EA app where it says I DONT have an EA Play membership which is weird because I DO have a Gamepass ultimate membership. All works fine on console it seems. I’ve restarted, logged out and back in. It’s clearly on EA side not registering our EA play membership through Gamepass. I’m just going to move in to another game, and Xbox game and hopefully EA gets it fixed. Nothing more can be done from my end.

You won't have Gamepass.

Gamepass is a subscription that provides access to a library of games that can be played without purchasing them. Similar to Netflix.

While "Gamepass Ultimate" provided access to that same library and also gives access to Xbox Gold and EA Play.

Ea Play is also like gamepass that offers their own game library that can be accessed while the Subscription is active.

With Gamepass Ultimate, you'll have Gold, Gamepass, and Ea Play all in one Subscription.

However, what you purchased (Xbox Live) is Xbox Gold. This is a subscription that provides access to online gaming.

It is not Gamepass so if you are looking for an active Gamepass after redeeming that 12-month Subscription, Gamepass will not show but Xbox Live or Xbox Gold should show.

gamepass for console

gamepass for pc

ea play

gold

so what you see on pc gamepass is what you get.

PC gamepass is the following

pc gamepass

ea play

gold is not needed for pc and obviously you don't need gamepass console as you are on pc.

there are no games exclusive to ultimate, everything available on gamepass pc and console is the same with or without ultimate.
