I’m trying to download forza horizon 2 for my Xbox One. It keeps saying “Instillation Stopped”

I can't help with anything to resolve it.

I will say that, when I bought FH2 on disc back in 2020, I encountered the exact same issue with my Xbox One X...it would install from disc for anywhere from 5-30 minutes and then installation stopped. Didn't have the issue with my FH1 disc nor any other discs and FH2 installed without issue when I installed it onto my Series X.

It ended up being an excruciating process of needing to go to games and apps and click to continue the install process each time....it took me the best part of a week in the end to install it and that was with it installing between 6 and 10 hours a day.

Hi Jandez1, yes. Probably you're not going to be able to find the game in the app.

In your case please skip the option D.

Please try each of the options below:

A. Power cycle the Xbox:

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.

Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

After that, remove and re-add your profile on the console.

Also disconnect your router from power for about 3 minutes. Then connect it again an when everything is working, enable all the remote play features and try again

B. Can be a bit odd but try using a custom DNS address:

go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings

Once you’re inside the Advanced Settings menu, go to DNS settings and select Manual from the list of available options.

When you get to the next screen, enter 8.8.8.8 in the box associated with the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 in the Secondary DNS box.

Once the default DNS addresses have been changed, restart your console and see if the issue has been resolved at the next console startup.

If that doesn't work use 1.1.1.1 as primary and 1.0.0.1 as secondary

C. Clear your MAC address

Go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address

Select Clear, restart your console and give it a new try

D. Try installing the game remotely, for this please download and configure the Xbox mobile app, once configured go to your game library > look for the game (if you own digitally) > tap on it > tap on 'Download to console'

Will try this when I get home. The copy I have is a physical copy of the game (a disc) does this change anything?

Hello, guys it seems okay but still bugs. Like when I turned my Xbox one it said there "maybe a problem on our side trying to work on it". that means their is a problem on Xbox side? also when i load forza horizon 2, it just says syncing data for forza horizon
2, it just keeps going over and over again any help please?
