I’m trying to change the email behind my Xbox account but I don’t want to use the allis thing

yes im still in need of help

there is no way to transfer the xbox account to another microsoft account, the microsoft account IS the xbox account. the only way to change email address is via alias, but as the account belongs to your dad then you cannot do this, also all the xbox account and games etc are the property of your dad as they are purchased on that account.

We understand that you are trying to change an email account to make it match with the account that you are using with other site and the email account you are currently using is associated with your Dad's Microsoft account. Changing an email account would be possible by adding an alias. Since, it is not your personal email account, it would really mess up with the account. Tezzerrific is correct that there is no way to transfer an Xbox account to other Microsoft account. The subscriptions and other services that were tied up with the account cannot be transfer to other Microsoft account. You may check it from here, Microsoft Services Agreement.

If by chance you are using your Dad's Microsoft account just to use the subscription for Xbox like able to play the games in Xbox console, there is still other way around. You can create your own Microsoft account. To share the Xbox subscription of your Dad, the device must be switch to Home console and you can sign in your own Microsoft account to play the games included in the subscription. Here is how to switch the device as Home console:

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
   
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.
   
3. Do either of the following to change the status of your console:
   
   • To make this your home Xbox, select Make this my home Xbox.
     
   • To remove this console as your home Xbox, select Make this my home Xbox and then Remove this as my home Xbox.

I’m experiencing the exact same problem, and I expect nothings changed for you as microsoft makes it way to easy for hackers and all they have to do is change it to a email you don’t know and theres no hope in recovering the account. I’m so frustrated at this fact, especially because I have some irreplaceable things on that account. However, please let me know if theres any updates or if theres a miracle in which I can somehow recover my account.
