Thank you, So some games let you play on live but only need one copy (one disc)? Also I don't have KINECT.

1. It all depends on if you are playing split screen or system link. system link games require multiple consles with multiple copies of the game.

2. There are more than a few if you look around. If you have Kinect, the game that comes to mind for a 5 year old is Sesame Street - Once upon a Monster.

If it sounds complicated to you, its complicated to us also. Many times a game will come out that we fans get excited for and then are surprised when there isn't a split-screen option.

Getsuga's explanation is good (the lego recommendation I *second); I'd add that when you are looking at games in the marketplace, on the Details tab it will say if co-op is supported as state whether its just online, or if local is supported. "Local" means
all players playing on one xbox (on one screen).

If both players are playing on different consoles then they both need a separate copy of the game each. If they are playing on the same console then only one copy of the game is required if it supports split screen to play over Xbox Live.

If it is a Call of Duty (Black Ops and onwards) or a Halo game then two accounts can play split screen together over Xbox Live but if both players are using their own profiles then both profiles will need to have Xbox Live Gold. These games do allow playing
on guest accounts however meaning only one Gold account is required, this does mean progress for the guest profile will not be saved and the guest profile cannot earn achievements.

There's plenty of games within that age range. I'm not sure of too many at the moment myself as I don't pay attention to age ratings as much these days since I'm just purchasing for myself but there's a good range of games out there for all ages. I'd personally
suggest the Lego Star Wars/Lego <film series> games or Minecraft if you're looking for a starting point (they are both for people aged 7 and up however so if you want one rated a little lower then you'll have to keep looking). Have a look around at both retail/online
stores and the Xbox Live Arcade section of the Games Marketplace on Xbox Live.

My use of the term Co-op was intended to INCLUDE the use of co-op multiplayer...as you stated..in some games such as Halo and Call of Duty....as Well as Co-op campaign or "offline splitscreen" gameplay in other games. In either case...it is 2 players one
console....UNLESS both parties have the game at separate locations...which seems like more of what the OP was trying to ask....which is also why I suggested checking the back of the game box...as it will tell exactly what is available for that particular game....
