im purchase blocked how do i fix it

Im trying to play fortnite and i need xbox live and im paying it but it keeps saying the payment option on an existing subscription was declined blocking this purchase find a fix

Actually Okami, his post was useful to me on this topic and you didn't answer the question - do you have to buy your kids another XBL account? I have set up an account and I have changed the account to 'child' - however, I have found no way on line or on
the Xbox to block them purchasing things.

From everything I have read on line, this isn't actually possible! It's a real shame if it isn't, as we will be trading in our Christmas gift for a Playstation tomorrow if this is the case.

There is no way to completely bock purchasing except to not leave a payment method on file.

You can create another account for them. Accounts under the age of majority are flagged as child accounts and require a parent or guardian's account to be linked to it. At that point you can set up parental controls.

If you wish for your children to play on XBL with other players, they'll need a subscription. You do not need a separate XBL account you'll just need a parent email address that is linked to the children's account. If you do not want them to access your
account, you can set a pass code. This should prevent all purchases on that account.
