I’m missing standard features in Beta Preview—no customize tab.

I just got a dashboard update today and I noticed a couple problems, there may be another update coming to fix it.

I got the barrage from my kids. Word spread and I feel like I'm the only parent that started with an accurate birthdate. Of course, the kids went to Win10 and tried to load the Custom Gamerpic with this error message: "Choose one of the standard images.
People under 18 can't upload custom pics."

A telephone call to support and a quick chat and it seems there are a couple of factors at play:

1. The custom gamerpics feature is recently released in BETA.
2. New features are, typically, tested in BETA for adult accounts, only. This prevents bugs from exposing minors to unwanted content. In addition, the Child Privacy settings are not available in BETA - they are required to release it to the full audience.
3. This one is somewhat odd because it is enabled from the XBox (Beta) app in Windows 10. My kids were on the laptop, instantly, and trying it as soon as it was a known capability. We do NOT have preview editions downloading to the consoles.

The message I received was that this is SOP and that MS would release it to all ages when the privacy settings are completed and it comes out of BETA. So, just hang on.

^I agree! Hope you're not directing that at me Tzar. lol I've been known to talk about missing features in the "upgrade" from last to next-gen. I'm not happy at other peoples expense, about features being missing.

If they're removing features it should be to replace them with something else, of equal or greater worth/functionality. A bit like MP-only game developers removing SP campaigns to make room for massive maps and loads of content... wait, oh, no, they don't
do that. lol It's the same standard of MP with a SP campaign missing... consumers should be peeved.

Seriously I think the NXOE is still in its teething period despite the long Beta/Preview thing. I wouldn't be surprised if all the previous Kinect functionality will make a return. If it doesn't... consumers should be peeved. =]

This feature is currently still in beta for preview members only.
