I'm locked out of Minecraft after Migrating my account.

Hi, I recently migrated my Minecraft Account to Microsoft (because I had to), and now I can't log in via the Minecraft launcher. It says my login info is incorrect. I know for a fact that it's correct, so something is deeply wrong with the migration. The only thing I can think of is that I used a gmail account as my Microsoft email (the same gmail account that I had used for the Minecraft account that I was migrating).

Minecraft support told me this is a Microsoft issue, so what do you have for me, Microsoft?

Hi there liamoriley welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I had the same issue before and this advice might help:

For those of you having this same problem, there is an important step that Microsoft and Mojang leave off all of the FAQs when they just repeat to sign in with your Microsoft account. From the Launcher log-in page, you have hit the button to go back to the accounts page. But then, don't click on your existing account that you want to sign into or you will just get back into the same problem loop that won't let you sign in. You have to add a new account. It is counter intuitive, because you are not actually setting up a new account. But once you click to add a new account you can choose to sign in with your Microsoft account in the Launcher. Once you do that, it will automatically use the Microsoft account to log you in from the Launcher. And my worlds were there without change.

I have the same issue, they're a month late migrating the accounts. I'm locked out of minecraft until that happens.

Once a Minecraft account is migrated to a Microsoft account, it is permanently associated with that account. Unfortunately, you can't change this after migrating.

To clarify, you are having issues accessing Minecraft on the account you migrated it to?

I'm logging in with my microsoft account, through the microsoft account log in.

I've already migrated my account and it worked, because I played after it migrated. I've been having this issue after I changed to the new minecraft launcher they've released through the microsoft store, and I can't log in to Xbox Live through the Xbox app either.

Also if your Microsoft account already owns Minecraft does that means you don't have to migrate or you just can't migrate and let your account be locked
