Im just about done with Xbox.

Hi, this is my first time on the xbox forum. I wanted to discuss the overall experience that comes with an Xbox One.

I find myself very disappointed with what direction everything is going in.

I hadn't logged onto my xbox for a long time out of boredom and the lack of fully developed games. Whether it was that the game wasn't fully developed or that it was developed in such a way to hinder its full potential (microtransactions).

While mentioning under developed games, lets bring up the elephant in the room, Player Unknowns Battlegrounds.

ln my opinion, not only the game itself, but the manner at which Microsoft went about acquiring it. Is representative of the many predatory practices that large companies will under go to make a quick buck.

Firstly, PUBG is labeled as a "console exclusive". How? Just because a pc cant be called a console? This is deceptive advertising. The desperation that Microsoft displays while they scramble to find themselves an "exclusive for xbox is sad. Its show in one
of their Xbox one X comercials featuring PUBG in the add with it, of course with the infamous quote "the most powerful console". But little does buyer know that the game will be underperforming. Once again, this is deceptive advertising.

Okay, my rant about PUBG is over.

Another thing I would like to address is the lack of quality titles being added to backwards compatibility.

I understand the developer of every game must agree to make their game work on an emulator. But it seems like the most popular games are just ignored.

Im disappointed month after month that I cant play any of my favorite old games (Saints row or UFC: Undisputed 3 for example)

Im concerned that Microsoft will care less and less for their customers, as shown over the passing months. We already have large game publishers trying to scam people out of their money. So lets not release 3 consoles in one cycle while theres no games to
play, or any reason to turn on the console at all for that matter.

I just wanted to discuss the problems that i come across with having an xbox one and why I feel like its stagnating for customers. Im honestly at a point where im done. I dont plan on buying another xbox. When I turn mine on I cant find enjoyment, just disappointment.

The sad thing is even if I wanted to buy a new game, I wont. Every new game is a cash grab or just isnt good and i wait for sales.

Instead of getting a new console you can pay a lot less and get it repaired.

It sounds like you’ve tried to main solutions. Maybe try holding the power button on the console for a full 10 seconds until it turns off. Then unplug it for a few minutes and then try turning it on again.

If that doesn’t work and a factory reset doesn’t work then I would send it in for a repair.

 

I'm just about done with Xbox

So I got a vanilla xbone a year after launch and for the past 7 months I'm having the worst problems with it. Before it was bareable with a factory reset being the solution to my problems, but now it's literally unusable. Not a single game will load (digital
or disc) nothing will update, nothing will download, nothing will uninstall. The guide won't even work. The only way I can join a party is if I'm invited because of that and I can't see anyone who's online. The only thing that will actually work is the store
because hey, Microsoft has to have its priorities straight right? I know most would say the solution is "Oh just go buy a new one." But hey, not all of us have that kinda money to spend. If someone can give me a solution that would be fantastic.
