I'm in a party but can't hear game SFX unless i go into game chat

I have had this problem for a year now and would like to know how to fix it I don't want to hear in game chat i just want to hear my friends and my game at the same time whilst being in a Xbox "party"

I understand you need help with your audio problem.

If I may ask, is this happening to all the games? Have you also tested other headsets?

You can also check your privacy settings and set it up here:
https://account.xbox.com/settings

You may also try resetting your console.

Let's refresh the console's system cache.

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select System.
4. Select Console info
5. Select Reset console.
6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

You will not lose your account or progress during the reset and all your data is also saved to your cloud so no worries about that.

No, I do not have a headset but this still ocurrs but i have spent thousands of dollars on this acc and dont want to lose it it is also happening to all games
