I’m having issues logging in to Minecraft with my Microsoft account

I’m trying to sign into Minecraft with my Microsoft account. I used the QR code in Minecraft to get the the Microsoft login screen on my phone web browser. When I sign in on the login screen I’m then asked to download oauth. Should I download it and what is it?

Ok thanks. I clicked to download oauth but it’s still not logging in. It looks like it’s downloading oauth but it’s been sat at 0kb for a few minutes now. Any ideas how to get round this? I have also had a screen come up when I’m trying to login asking me for my Xbox gamer tag but I don’t have one as I’m on PS4 so I’m confused about this as well.

An OAuth API by the Minecraft team would allow you to log into server's websites with your Mojang credentials and give a centralized place for you to authenticate with your account, making anything else that asks for your credentials obviously scammy.

I don’t think the issue I’m having is Minecraft’s fault. It’s got to do with the fact that when I login to my Minecraft account through my Microsoft account it signs me into that Microsoft account of other apps such as Xbox and Xbox console companion. That’s what Im having problems with, because I have 2 emails associated with 2 accounts, one being my Minecraft Microsoft account and the other being my Xbox account. This is really frustrating and annoying as whenever I want to open Minecraft whilst I’m using the Xbox app it logs me out of my xbox account and signs me into my Minecraft Microsoft account. Hope I’ve made things clear and I hope they solve this soon

Same thing is happening to me on my ps4. It says my account is already connected to another account but I received an email saying that the Microsoft account was logged into PlayStation but on my ps minecraft shows that I’m not logged in. I’ve already contacted PlayStation and Minecraft and they both told me the same thing but nothings changed. I’m in desperate need of help
