I'm having a problem with my controller and headset I can't hear anything aside party and...

I was turning on my console and realized within a few seconds I can't hear any other audio other than party chat. Is this some sort of controller issue? I have had this issue a few times, and I simply unplugged my headset and plugged it back in and it worked,
but now no matter what I do, it won't work. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hey all, I fixed my controller, turns out you can't have your headset party chat mixer too high, otherwise you can't hear anything. Hopefully, this is helpful for anyone who has the same problem.

Yes I have tried 3 different controllers and even purchased a new headset. My headset still causes a echo in party chat even with the physical mute button toggled on. Friends can't hear me speak, but can all hear themselves echo coming from my headset. I have also updated the controllers with the headset plugged in. I've read somewhere that it could be caused by an issue with my router/firewall settings, but can't find anything to indicate what settings might be causing it.

Ok, here is a more in depth explanation. You know what my problem is, i'm trying to hear everything trough my headset. i dont have an adapter, i have the 3.5 Xbox Controler, the one that you can plug your headset right in.

i have it pluged into my controler, with no adapter. I'm using the turtle beach Recon 30X. I know it works, bucuase i can still hear my party, but nothing else. It is not directly connected to my TV. is there anything else i can describe?

I can't chat in party or game with oem chat headset and i recently purchased the headset adapter and the official xbox stereo headset, same problem. I can hear people in party and game chat, yet they can't hear me.

My controller is updated.

I first had this issue during the titanfall beta...in a match, everything's good, i can hear friends and they can hear me, out of the blue they can't hear me anymore. Hasn't worked since.

I've tried everything, no effect. My new controller arrives today. maybe it's a controller issue. I'll let everyone know.
