    I'm extremely frustrated with the Microsoft account system for Minecraft. I was forced to migrate from Mojang to Microsoft — and since then, the login experience has been nothing but a headache.



    With Mojang accounts, I never had authentication issues. Ever since the switch to Microsoft, I’ve faced:



    • Errors like Too Many Requests even after a single login attempt;
    • Failed logins with messages like Missing required field: access_token or name, which are completely useless to the user;
    • VPN-related authentication errors, even without any VPN active;
    • Local OAuth flow failing due to address binding issues, just because another local process happened to be using a port.

    I’ve seen countless users reporting the same issues. One single forum thread had 1,459 people experiencing the exact same problem — and barely anyone from Microsoft support seemed to know how to handle it. The only advice offered was to "try another login method", which completely misses the point. If passwords and browser authentication don’t work reliably, then what’s the point of having them?



    This has been going on for a very long time, and I honestly believed Microsoft would fix it by now. But clearly, nothing has changed.



    It’s unacceptable how poorly this crucial part of your platform is being handled. I’m asking — no, demanding — that the authentication system receives the attention it deserves. You forced us into this migration. The least you can do is make the system stable.



    Please verify that my account is correctly linked to Minecraft Java Edition and escalate this issue internally so users stop getting trapped in this broken experience.

    @OP - I too am an original XBOX Live beta tester, NINE years w/ my now stolen gamertag. Expect no love from MS on this. You are just another subscriber.

    If someone promised you a code; call back in. Reference the SR # of that call and hopefully you kept track of both it and the individual's name. State what you were promised and don't hang up until you get it. I was promised "next day" and a week later
    I received nothing. I had to call in to get it done during that call. The XBOX support rep 'behind the scenes' worked directly with their supervisor (I have to take him at his word) while I was on the phone to get the token codes previously promised.

    Well, this is not my original GT, but my account was hacked on Sept. 27 and the hacker bought about 100$ of Fifa packs.I contacted MS to have my account locked on Sept. 27 when I was quoted a total of 25 business days for them to do an investigation.I have
    called Xbox support once a week, spoken with supervisors and I STILL get the run around and its November 9. This has really put a dent in my trust of MS, as they appear as inept as SONY. Take it from me, don't get your hopes up.
