first off LOL@using an SSD...ya sure what are you going to have a $150 250gig ssd thats half the size of the OE drive? or are you going to go crazy and get a $500 terabyte that costs as much as the console with half that size already built in? SSD external
isnt even logical here so lets not bring those speeds up...most people will be attaching sata II/III drives mainly NON ssd's and will see a significant hit in their transfer/read speeds.

second...why bring up what ps4 has..its no justification in this matter...we already know external should be supported but it shouldnt be whats needed to expand storage space, just carry storage on the go or backup...upgradeable internal hdd's is and always
will be whats needed with these.

If you have slow internet, disconnect your X1 from it. Install the game from the disc then re-hook up the internet. The X1 will try and download patches/updates as it installs if it is connected to the internet. It took about 3 hours before I could play
Forza 5 on my girlfriends 1.5Mbs connection (6Gb patch.) and about a full day before the game was completely installed. On my connection is was maybe 20 minutes before I could play the game.

One of the questions I took from the Ambassador chat was from a mother that was trying to get D.R.3 playing for her kids. When we figured out she was trying to install with a 3G cell phone using it as a hotspot (.324Mbs download.), it became obvious it would
take a couple days.

Yep, all games need to be installed.

bad idea...add more space on the outside...and wont be as fast installing/reading from it as the internal. They need a way to upgrade the internal..send it in for a 2 terabyte upgrade or something.

The size of the drive doesn't matter that much. MS has said external drive support is coming. Once it's here just add an external drive to the console.
