then why is the game allowed to cheat us ?

I can put up with the junk spawns , terrible hit detection ,hit markers that don't even hit ,and lag but when my team is up 45-19 against team that can't shoot the broad side of a barn then all of a sudden win less than half a game left they become snipping
gods and end up beating my team 75- 60 ( same players the entire game) something's not right

^^^ That. Cheevos aren't the reason. GTA allowed their cheat codes for everything but told you the cheevos were disabled if you did them.

Modded rooms and cheats aren't allowed period on either console and you're not allowed to use cheats in VAC/punkbuster protected rooms on the PC.

There's no hard and fast rules for knowing if you're in a modded room but generally the hackers are arrogant enough to make it blatantly obvious they are using cheats. If your son suspects he's in a modded room advise him to dashboard immediately, file complaints
against people he suspects were using cheats and set them to avoid so he doesn't end up in the same game as them again.

I would say , a new , better host had been picked ... maybe they were better players .

Maybe the host changed, maybe they caught on to your team's tactics and found a defence to it, maybe they got lucky spawns, the list goes on and on; but to answer your question you aren't allowed to cheat because it ruins the game for everybody else. Simply
put since people that play live all over the world, there will not ever be a perfect server for everybody and somebody will always be at a disadvantage due to lag, it's just a part of the game. If it gets unbareable for you most you can do is press start leave
game, and search for a better quality match.

If you really feel that a particular player is cheating, you can always feel free to file a complaint and the xbox enforcement team will investigate it.

@ adorable spartan none of the players are cheating it's the game itself that's the issue- really bad spawns and there's something inside the game that kicks in half way thru that's gives the team that's down a boost

I agree with Rhino about the spawns .

I was 10/0 on urban the other night , when I died , I was spawn killed over and over .

The game ended with me 10/10.

In the old days , you were invulnerable for a few seconds when you spawned , to give you a chance to get to cover.

Only certain games that allow it and only map files etc not save files as thats cheating

Naming and shaming is not allowed on the forums. Use the tools in the game to report the players for cheating.

Rapid fire controllers aren't necessarily cheating, just like how some games allow for keyboard and mouse in competitive play. The Xbox Elite controller can basically do rapid fire... and that's an official Xbox product! I'd say its less about cheating and
more about skill these days. A person would honestly have to be really bad or lazy to resort to wanting to cheat in today's games with how many other options for improvement and over all comfort in gameplay there are.

Now straight up aim-bot is cheating. But a person on at game should honestly be able to tell the difference between a good player, skill, luck, and cheating.

Players that you feel are cheating should be reported, some games allow mouse and keyboard thats not cheating, we all have to adapt when playing against them

[/quote]Um, competitive fighting game tournaments and leaderboards pit players against others in direct competition. You aren't competing against me for an achievement, and only one of us can win. Achievements serve no other purpose than to have something
to show for the time you put in to a game. If I enable the God Mode cheat, then it makes sense for it to disable the achievement for beating a boss without taking damage. But if I enable a cheat for infinite ammo and it disables the achievement for finding
all the collectibles, that's just stupid.
