If offline updating wont work on xbox one s, what can i do?

If the offline update is not working, you would need a repair. There is something wrong with the hardware most likely.

You can go to device support see if the console is in warranty and set up a repair. You can also keep trying the offline update a few times too.

If you are trying to factory reset an insiders console that wont work

For all troubleshootiing concerning insiders must be done on regedit /xboxinsiders

And no the offline updater wont work with it unless you do it properly

What about cloud save? If you lose one on hard disk. You can set your S to offline work, but what about updates for the game or console?

I have tried all of the above. The update kicks me offline.

I bought it today to make a video for youtube but it wont work.

I am, unsure what to do.

If you have an Xbox One S or One X and installing from disk you could use the machine in Offline mode. This may install
the disk content first and you will still need the online update but it wont be as time consuming as it is an update rather than install. I would suggest you consider doing this after the COD download finishes
