If I use the Xbox One stereo adapter and/or a 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack cable, will my official...

I know the official Xbox 360 wired headset does not work with an Xbox One controller, A: because it apparently only works on Xbox 360s (could be outdated info nowadays, considering the new tech and methods that have been made), and B: as the headset has a 2.5mm jack, and the Xbox One controller has a 3.5mm port, but if I use the Xbox One Stereo Adapter, with the 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable that it comes with, will the headset work on Xbox One? Do I even need the adapter? Can I just use the 2.5 to 3.5 cable and plug it straight into the controller?

Also, if you can, provide details on whether you hear game audio, chat or both, as Xbox 360 have always been a bit bad with that. On the Xbox 360, this headset is only MEANT to pick up chatting, and not game audio, but I've seen people bypass this with certain adapters.

It does say on the Xbox website that the Xbox 360 official wired headset only works on licensed Xbox 360s, but I'm wondering if that's still the case if I use the adapter/converter cables.

If that is impossible, I have seen people stripping wires and hacking their headsets, but not this specific one, so if that's the way to go, let me know.

Are there any other ways to connect this headset to an Xbox One, that you know? Please tell me.

I have an official Xbox One Minecraft Creeper controller if that helps?

    A50s

    Hello,

It looks like you do need a chat cable (2.5mm) as well as the Xbox One Stereo Adapter (which comes with the 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable).

If you have the newest controller (3.5mm audio jack built in), then you'll need a 2.5mm cable as well as a 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable to plug it into your ASTRO A50s.

If I use the Xbox One stereo adapter and/or a 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack cable, will my official Xbox 360 wired headset work on my Xbox One?

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    Good evening

Yes, you can use the Xbox One Stereo Adapter along with a 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack cable to use your official Xbox 360 wired headset with your Xbox One. The adapter is necessary as it allows you to connect the 2.5mm jack of the headset to the 3.5mm port on the Xbox One controller.

Once you have connected the headset, you should be able to hear both game audio and chat audio through the headset. The Xbox One allows you to adjust the balance between game audio and chat audio in the settings.

Regarding the compatibility of the Xbox 360 wired headset with the Xbox One, while the official Xbox website states that the headset only works with licensed Xbox 360s, it should still work with the Xbox One if you use the adapter.

If you do not have the Xbox One Stereo Adapter, you can also use a 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack cable that has a microphone built-in. This will allow you to plug the headset directly into the Xbox One controller and use it for both game audio and chat audio.

As for stripping wires or hacking the headset, this is not recommended as it can damage the headset and is not a reliable or safe solution.

Using 360 Turtle Beach on X One?

No, your turtle beaches will still work with the xbox one, you just need an audio jack adapter. The xbox one stereo headset adapter includes a 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio jack adapter, so at the very most you would have to purchase that. Im currently using my px22s
hooked up through my dss2 on my xbox one and the sound quality is great.

setup help for Sennheiser u320 for xbox one

Another note on the 3.5 stereo to 3.5 stereo male to male cord...

Make sure that the stereo jack on the TV is the same size as the stereo jack on your headphone "in-line" volume controller. Some headphones use a 2.5mm instead of a 3.5mm. The TV is most likely the 3.5mm size.

Compare the one plugged into the TV with the one plugged into you headset "in-line" controller. If they are the same, you will have no trouble finding a 3.5 to a 3.5 (The jack on the Xbox One controller chat converter is 3.5mm also).

If one is thinner than the other, you will have to find a 3.5mm stereo male jack to a 2.5mm stereo male jack. Where I live, the only place I found one was online (eBay is where I got one).

what type of headset adapter do I need for a Sennheiser U320?

The 360 jack is 2.5mm. If you wanted to use the headset on the One you would need to purchase a 2.5mm - 3.5mm adapter.
