    If I uninstall an XBox gamepass PC game, will I retain my saves?


    I am a user of Xbox gamepass, on PC only. I would like to uninstall a game to make room on my hard drive, but I want to come back and pick it up later. Will me save be retained? Where will it be retained, if so, eg in the cloud or locally? Is there a way to locate save files and back them up, just in case, as you can do on some consoles?

    That's the thing. I didn't personally remove any save data from the PC. Yet I am unable to find any old files that fit the bill. It's like gamepass for PC also removes the save file upon the uninstallation of a game.

    My issues are all on PC, using the Gamepass. It seems that since I started my first file on Cloud Gaming it will not initialize save storage on PC.

    I've uninstalled the Xbox App, Xbox Gaming Service, Starfield, and install locations around 6 times since yesterday morning to no avail.

    I finally just bought the game and downloaded it standalone from a provider other than Xbox and it works fine.

    How can I play my saved games from when I played Kingdom Come: Deliverance on Xbox, to the Kindgom Come for Xbox Gamepass on PC. Is it possible to get my game save data from console to PC for this game?

    google it, there is a program that can find and move gamepass pc saves to steam saves. I know as i have used it for a few games. (PC Gamepass Save File Converter)

    It depends on if you're playing PC games through Gamepass PC. You can uninstall the Xbox apps by right clicking them and selecting uninstall.
