If I reset my Xbox to factory settings do I lose my account and everything?

Your account is stored on the servers. You won't lose it by factory resetting. You just need to remember your login details so you can log into the same account on the new console.

As long as you weren't using your Xbox One completely offline, you won't lose anything. Sign into your account on your Series S and you can re-download any digital games you own without paying again, then as you launch games that you have progress on, your game saves will sync over via the Xbox Network, so you won't lose any game progress.

The only time you'd get in trouble is if A) you don't know the login details for your account and have no way of recovering it, or B) you were using your Xbox One completely offline all the time as then your saves wouldn't sync over to the new console.

Ron if I do a factory reset will I have my original account name and my game possessions.

In this case, I can only recommend you to factory reset your console:

Press the Xbox button > Settings > System > Console info > Reset this xbox > Reset and keep my games and apps.

Note: the "Reset and keep my games and apps" option will not make you lose your games, but you will need to sign in to your account again.

If the factory reset keeping your games and apps do not work, the only other option would be to factory reset it and remove everything. All your games and apps will need to be installed again. And any save that is not uploaded to the cloud will be lost - but if you are online on your console, they are all uploaded to the cloud, rest assured.

I'm sorry, I know reinstalling everything is not something we want to do. But it is probably the only solution for this issue since the game is refusing to be uninstalled.

I tried the second one but its putting me on a screen saying restart this xbox and troubleshoot when i restart my xbox it doesnt do anything but when i click troubleshoot it says to reset my xbox but i will lose all of my accounts, saved games, settings, home xbox associations, and installed games and apps, but i dont want to lose everything... What do i do?
