If I own a game on xbox , should i be able to install it on my PC

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have a question on games. The only games you can play on both if own is play anywhere titles. The games that are play anywhere, will say so at top. Here is an example:

On PC, you should be able to access it just make sure that the account that owns the game installs it.

Yes we have two accounts. The problem seems to be both licenses. So the owned game and the xbox ultimate account are held by the one xbox account.

One of us via family sharing should be able to play the owned version of forza. The other should be able to play the xbox ultimate version via family sharing also.

doesnt matter which one is played by PC and which by xbox.

forza is owned and installed on both PC and Xbox.

both signed into accounts on PC and Xbox.

Cuphead is Play Anywhere so he should be able to download it. Have him try the Microsoft Store app and make sure he is signed into that app with the same account that purchased the game. On the top right of the app, click the 3 dots and go to "My Library". He should be able to find a list of all games he owns that are available to download on the PC under ready to install and should be able to install it from there.

This is a reply to my own post I figured out how to get the world's Slayer upgrade on pc. You cannot install it or get it from the Microsoft store on PC you have to open the Xbox app and then it will be available that way it took a lot of searching and clicking around and finally got to this point. So again if you use the Xbox app you should be able to find the outrider's world Slayer upgrade and install it then it should work on PC using the free version of outriders with game pass so you will have all the content.
