If I have a Xbox live gold subscription can I buy Minecraft with it?

You can buy any game with or without Gold. As long as you pay for a game, it's yours to keep with or without any type of subscription. Gold is just what allows you to play online.

Do you have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription? Because to play an online multiplayer game an Xbox Live Gold subscription is required.

It is asking you to buy an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate because Xbox Live Gold is also included in the bundle but you can still buy the Xbox Live Gold subscription individually.

To check if you have a subscription you can follow the steps below:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select System > Settings > Account > Subscriptions.

But if I remove my payment, what about my xbox live gold subscription ? If the problem is buying something, i won't be able to buy it again and i won't be able to play.

You can run Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass alongside each other.

Game Pass Ultimate includes Xbox Live Gold so does not need the Gold subscription. If you attempt to buy Xbox Live Gold whilst you have an active Ultimate subscription, it will convert the Gold to Ultimate (as Gold is included in that package).

If you would like to cancel any of your subscriptions sign in to the Microsoft account linked to your Gamertag on your

Services & Subscriptions page. From there you can select Manage next to the subscription you want to cancel and then Cancel subscription.

Once your Game Pass Ultimate subscription has ended, you can apply Gold to your account again.
