    If I change account assignment....


    I need to change my husbands account to a teen account. How do I do this and if I do does the name and account lose any of the info assigned to it? My son has been playing under my husbands account, we want to keep everything just change the limitations
    and purchasing power. I do not want him to lose all of the stuff he has bought or has within the account however and I'm concerned that if I delete him and add him back in as a child it will remove everything that is currently there. Can you please clarify
    how it works if we do delete then add back in as a teen?

    From my experience, you can change the purchasing power by going to:

    - Your account on your console

    - Settings

    - Account

    - Family Settings

    - My sig-in, security & passkey

    - Change my sign-in & security preferences

    - Here you can choose the option that best suits you.

    (I will recommend "Customize" since you want your son to play but limited him with purchase power)

    I found a workaround. By assigning going to the working child's account, then Setttings : System : Devices & accessories : Headset : and changing 'Assigned to' to the working child's account, the non-working child's account now works. Bizarre. But it fixes
    my problem.

    According to the Mojang FAQ, it is not possible to change the account after the migration is done but I recommend contacting them anyway.

    My best suggestion is to log into your fathers account, Change the gamer tag, and then assign it to your new account.
