if i buy xbox game pass core with an exisiting xbox game pass subscribtion what will happen

You would just be paying for 2 subscriptions.

If you were going that route, it would be cheaper to just upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate.

You can cancel your current Game Pass and then just buy Core. Or you can buy Core in addition to Game Pass for console. Or you can buy Ultimate which includes both and will convert what you already have to Ultimate as well.
