    I was wondering, due to paying things, is it possible to buy minecraft with an xbox account from the microsoft store, but then use the same microsoft account, log into the minecraft website, and then download the game from there instead of the microsoft store?

    Thank you for replying! I actually have an xbox gift card I would like to spend for minecraft. Since I am actually buying the game from xbox on the microsoft store, I was wondering, is the game from mojang (java) also buyable with an xbox gift card? If so, I am gonna do that instead of course!

    If you're pertaining to Minecraft for Windows, I'm sorry but no, the current Minecraft Launcher on Minecraft is not compatible with the game which means that you will be needing to install the game still through the Microsoft Store or install the new and updated Minecraft Launcher on Microsoft Store/Xbox App to install the game inside of the launcher.
