If a game is bought (via the Microsoft store or Xbox store) then it will connected to the Microsoft account that was used to purchse the game.
And you can play and install that game on multiple devices as long as you are using that same Microsoft account (and assuming that device is able to run that game) So as long as it's the same Microsoft account (and the game matches the platform) then you should be able to play it on more devices.

I would love for this to be a thing. I recently got my kids Chromebooks for schooling (and some play but mostly school) and with the whole thing going on right now it'd be awesome for them to be able to play Minecraft on that instead of their phones.

I bought minecraft dungeons from the official website minecraftdungeons.com and I bought minecraft hero pass for dungeons on microsoft store on my web browser but it wont install and it wont link to my xbox live microsoft account which is linked to my minecraft

I had the same error with Minecraft dungeons, and i solved installing in my Hard drive principal the C: one.

I have two drives on my laptop i don't know why i can't install on my second drive, i can install all the game pass games except Minecraft dungeons u.u
