    So, I have 2 Xboxes. Bought Modern Warfare previously and wish I bought it no my Gold account so I can share them on 2nd Xbox. I personally can play it on both, but not my family members without me logging into either. Even my wife (also Live Gold account
    holder) can't access my game on 2nd console (her home console). She can open it, just not play online.

    I was able to download the game from xbox 1 to 2 through my account. I was hoping that if I bought Gold, then it can be a shared game within the family. But, unfortunately, I need to be logged in to both at same time if I want to play online w/ son. I
    asked a similar question May 7th, and got a good answer (before buying Gold). We found a workaround then but required me running up and down the stairs 3x to get it to work. So, I figured just bite the bullet and buy a 2nd gold. Now, the workaround doesn't
    work anymore.

    So, question is: If I uninstall game on 2nd console (my wifes home xbox) and reinstall again now that I am gold member, would that work? Or will the game never be recognized as a gold purchase, therefore im screwed?

    (just for clarification - when I log on xbox 2 open game, switch user to son, then run upstairs to xbox 1 (my hm xbox) and start game log on - it logs me out of xbox 2 and also boots my son from online services. Even tried to log wife in this way on xbox
    2 w/ her gold account, and I log in xbox1, it boots her too). She can't log back in even though she's got gold).

    No. You were able to play online because your wife has gold and had the console set as her Home console. So you were accessing her gold.

    Having a gold subscription does not effect sharing of games. Gold is just what allows you to play online. The Home setting is what allows you to share your games. You can share that game on whatever console you have set as your Home console. You can only
    have 1 console set as your Home at a time, so you won't be able to share it on both. https://support-origin.xbox.com/en-US/games/game-setup/my-home-xbox

    Thanks for the quick answer. So, just curious. I bought that game, no gold pass, and was able to play online with it. Is that because I was the original purchaser of the game?
