If I buy Gold and then use the £1 upgrade to Ultimate will it upgrade for full term

I am possibly asking a question that many have asked.

Having been out of work most of this year, I had to cancel my memberships to everything to save money. Now having got a new job I was wondering if the rumours were true that if I purchased a 12 month Gold pass and then upgraded to Premium for £1, it would
upgrade for 12 months.

It does say £1 for the first month, but I wanted to ask the question.

Yes. If you have a regular Gold or Game Pass subscription on your account and then purchase Ultimate, your remaining time will be upgraded to Ultimate. You can convert up to 36 months. So if you add 12 months of Gold, then buy the 1 month of Ultimate,
you'll have 13 months of Ultimate.

The promotion mentioned in that article has ended, but there is currently another $1 promotion for Ultimate for new subscribers. If you've used Ultimate before, you would not be eligible for that price.

The Gold cards upgrading to Ultimate is not promotion specific. If you have gold on your account when you purchase Ultimate (whether it's in a promotion or full price), your gold will be upgraded to Ultimate.

You can. Since you would be upgrading to Ultimate from Gold, it would upgrade at a ratio of 1:1. So if you buy 1 month of Ultimate, you'll have a total of 13 months of Ultimate.

The best case is buy 3 years of gold codes and then when your accoumt is free not ultimate

Add the gold time upto 3 years then buy one month to upgrade to 3 years of ultimate

If you're upgrading to Ultimate from standard Gold and/or Game Pass, the ratio is 1:1 and you can upgrade up to 36 months at a time. So if you have 35 months of Gold left and buy 1 month of Ultimate, you'll have 36 months of Ultimate.
