If I buy a physical Disc of a game, can I download it on xbox games on demand afterwards?

I've been having some trouble with GTA V.

This problem to be more specific. I've tried everything, wasted a lot of money on flash drives and storage devices and the problem still occurs, leading me to think that the problem is on the physical disc. But a lot of months have passed since I got the
game and I can't go to the store I bought it and ask for a replacement.

So I was thinking, is there any way for me to get this game as a "Games on Demand" so I can download it? I mean, I have the original game and all.

Like Steam for example, if you buy a game you have the right to download it forever.

I really want to play the game and i've finally got the money to pay for an xbox live gold subscription, but after trying everything to make it work, I've finally ran out of options...

Sup everyone,

Can I play a game at a certain point of the download if it's a game on demand.

I already know you can if it's a physical copy just wasn't sure if you could on demand.

Couple of xbox one questions.

Hello all,

I have a couple of questions about the xbox one.

Will games on demand release games the day they come out in retail?

And if I buy a physical copy, will I be able to download the game and play from the hard drive?

The Steam example holds true for downloads; anything you download off the Marketplace is yours forever and you can re-download whenever and however often you like, but unfortunately owning the disc does not give you access to the digital copy.

All Xbox One games must be
installed to the hard drive to be played, either from a digital download (games on demand) or from the Blu-ray disc they ship on.

Games that are downloaded from the Marketplace can be played without any disc in the console, same as today. Games that are installed from Blu-ray require the Blu-ray disc in the drive to be played, same as today. Games that are installed from disc are not
downloadable from the Marketplace in lieu of the disc, if that's what you're wondering. That went away when they removed the offline timer.

The major difference between the 360 and Xbox One is that disc-based games must be installed. There's no running from disc any longer.

yeah having the physical dvd doesn't mean you can just download the games on demand version for free

they are seperate

you will have to buy the game on demand or purchase a new disk (i suggest buying a new disk and just put disk protection on it for a year)

Not all titles are available for Games on Demand, many are only available at retail outlets on physical discs. They add SOME games to games on demand months after release but a good majority are not added as direct downloads.
