If I buy a game on the Xbox site on PC, will it appear on my Xbox console?

Assuming you bought the Xbox and not the PC version, yes

If you purchase an Xbox game with the same account that is on the console, then yes, it will show up in your library on your Xbox.

I've purchased the game from this site:

https://www.instant-gaming.com/en/8...box-one-xbox-series-x-s-game-microsoft-store/ I trust them since I buy most of my games there, never had any problems. The game appears in my library and Xbox app states that Forza 5 Standard edition is avaliable in my account. Also, when I reedemed the key in the microsoft store it immediately recognised that if was Forza 5. So I really don't know whats going on here, I never had any problems of that kind before.
