If i am in a party chat can people in game hear me?

Okay so if I am in a party by myself, can people in game hear me? Like for example I will be in a party by myself, and then in game i will have the microphone icon but no like lines that specify that I'm speaking, but i jus wanted to make sure that my teammates in game cannot hear me.

They can't hear you if you're in Party chat. The communication settings can be adjusted to limit who you want to chat with which you can also configure on your settings. You can go to Profile & system.

Select Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy > View details & customize.

Select Communication & multiplayer, and then review the settings for the following:

Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites

You can communicate outside of Xbox with voice & text

You can use video for communications

Just so that I am clear when you are trying this in party chat? In game chat?

You can hear the other players in the chat but they can not hear you?

Are you starting the party through the stream on the xbox itself? Or are you starting the party through the xbox app on the pc itself?

These are two different things.

I personally have noticed that if I try and join a party through the Xbox itself and not the xbox app I can hear the other people but they can not hear me. If I join the party or start a party and have people join through the xbox app on the PC then it works
fine.

So try that and see if that fixes your problem.

This is really starting to piss me off, I don't know what's going on.. my party chat was working absolutely fine and then all of a sudden people can't hear me in the party chat.

So if I join a party and I have the Xbox Game bar on the screen and can view the party people can hear me

However if I don't have xbox game bar on my screen they cannot hear me but I can still hear them? ( its like something isn't allowing it to run in the background )

My headset only works in party chat. When I'm playing other games I can see that people are talking but I can't hear them and they can't hear me. It only works in party chat.

If i am in a party chat can people in game hear me?
