    Ideas to improve Achievements culture


    Achievements are a main feature now that even games are designed to get cheevos easy and increase Gamerscore quickly, but the system about compacting every achievement in a same 100% of a game is not always fair: some online achievements are now impossible to get, and DLC/expansions are not rewarding enough sometimes.

    To improve this achievement hunting and feeling culture, I would suggest to separate the online/DLC/expansion achievements from the base game ones or total game completion percentage, some like Trophies are on the PS systems. You can reward the player with a medal or badge for every completed game and maybe that badge can be shown in the gamer profile as the Ambassador badge is displayed (maybe a general badge displaying the amount of completed games, the less common game completed, the best achievement hunted, etc.)

    I think it has to do more with Culture and the hypocrisy of this (any) Culture within a given time. Books, Literature have been around for centuries. Movies just a blink of the eye in History. Video Games, well it's still such
    a "new" idea that Culture and even Sub-Cultures (like this Site and many others) can't even really define it.

    In short, it would almost be considered blasphemous to "label" any piece of Literature, so it's gets a pardon (for the most part). Movies, Film and even TV got this pardon as well (simply due to the lack of experience of them within a Culture) for a time being.
    It has only been as of late that Culture feels the need to "protect" itself from Media and Media Content. Give it time and Literature even with it's "holy shield" will get it as well. There was after all a Culture that felt the need to both "label" and destroy
    Literature and just "recently".
