    Idea: Split-Screen Remote View & Dual Display Mode for Xbox Series X Local Multiplayer


    Hey everyone! I recently came up with an idea that could seriously improve couch co-op and local split-screen on Xbox Series X – especially if you have a small TV.

    The concept:

    In split-screen games, the screen is shared, which can feel cramped.

    What if each player could use their own display — one on the main TV, and the second on a remote device or second TV?

    Two ways this could work:


    1. Remote Play Split-Screen Mode Xbox sends Player 1’s view to the TV and Player 2’s view via Remote Play to a tablet, laptop, or another screen


    2. Dual Display via HDMI Splitter Even though Xbox has only one HDMI port, it could use a smart mode to split views across two TVs via an HDMI splitter. Each player would get their own full-screen view.

    What do you think? Would you use this feature? Please upvote if you like the idea – maybe we can get Xbox to notice.

    Hi,you would need to look in the multiplayer options in each game for Local multiplayer/ split screen. I know for sure Halo 5 has no split screen option though. Call of duty may depending on which game in the series it is.

    . On Xbox serious x, can you play two players on single consul. My brother and I used to play Bad company, multiplayer or maybe it was coop, on the weekends at home. Does not appear we can do that with the X series???
    Whether you can do split screen multiplayer is dependent on the game itself. Fewer and fewer games these days have any sort of split screen multiplayer.

    If you intend to play Black Ops 4 offline you will be restricted to the following modes of play only:

    • Multiplayer with local split-screen and/or bots

    • Zombies with local split-screen and/or bots

    All other modes of play require Xbox Live Gold and an active internet connection.

    If you do intend to play single player, perhaps share your experience in the Games forums! Im sure there are other players interested to hear how playing offline is.
