    I left gaming a few year ago and returned recently to notice that my xbox gamertag had been changed... I was totally unaware of this and would like to contact the xbox/microsoft community for help contacting the gamer now playing from the gamertag farmfoods.

    Your Game Of The Year choice?

    In the last 7 years, Trials HD, although the original
    Portal     is super close.

    All time - Ico, always Ico

    And credit given to Dante for saying RockBand 3 which probably no one else will, it ranks way up there.

    Nostalgia time!

    Actually.. Although it would never make my top list. Limbo was a fantastic game in fairness. A really refreshing art style with an erie sense of isolation that kinda reminded me of ICO in some ways. Yeah.. I know that doesn't count as its old but hey, ICO
    is still one of my all time favourites!

    As for the gamertag change, that can have two reasons:

    First and most common: After a "few years" many people I talked with about the same problem found, that they moved their primary email use from one email to another. So for example, a few years back, they used a Yahoo! email address, and then moved over
    to Outlook or Gmail, and signed into Xbox with their new email, instead of the old Yahoo Mail.

    For Xbox, that is a completely new account, and therefore will create a new Gamertag.

    Secondly,
    after about 5 years of inactivity, Microsoft "releases" the Gamertag of your account    . So if you intend to keep a certain Gamertag, make sure you regularly sign into your Gamertag account, to prevent the Gamertag being freed after 5 years.
