I would love to see XBOX bring in titles from other platforms through cloud gaming.

I don't think you will see titles from other platforms coming. After all, PlayStation has brought out their new service which is a rival to game pass anyway. A few movies being free, a possibility maybe, maybe as a perk. Maybe PC games coming to the cloud would be a good idea.

doubtful if pc games will go to cloud, also a lot of the PlayStation games are now going to pc but as you say they have their own service coming soon and will never allow any of their games on a rival console.

gamepass is not really generating huge game sales, most of the games in gamepass are mediocre at best. flight simulator runs like dog turd on console. Nintendo would rather bring out their own cloud gaming system and service.

Hardware sales has never made the companies major cash, been like this since the 70's, they always make money from game licences. Nintendo will never go to gamepass as they would have to let Microsoft take a cut and not many businesses will do that, plus that will not generate any hardware sales for Nintendo if someone only has to buy an Xbox console to play Nintendo games.

This is why I like PC so much, I have the best of all worlds as practically all games that play on console I have access to and many many many more. Gamepass on PC is also trash as there is hardly anything descent, it is all mediocre games too that can be completed in under an hour.

there was a survey a while ago can't remember where but they found most of the people that pay for gamepass or ultimate played 3 maybe 4 games from gamepass and just tried some others, for the time they had gamepass they could have purchased those games and also saved money.

And cloud gaming is just as bad, it can be ok for slow games but fast paced games just do not work well at all over cloud, even on hardwired, fibre connections with gigabit and very low latency connections.

2 reasons I think we could see something. Microsoft Flight Simulator works fantastic on Xbox one, so you could bring the latest to the older box. I also think if Microsoft allowed say Nintendo to put games in the cloud and allowed them special menu with their ecosystem and branding. The big 3 are not making a lot of money of the hardware. If they tried this, I think we would all be surprised that it could boost sales of hardware. Just like Gamepass has led to higher game sales. Could get interesting. Sony's version so far just is not the same.

Game files from other platforms are not compatible with cloud saves on Xbox, you can't bring your progress from other platforms unless the developers have activated cross saves
