Exactly. This has been such a farce it will only push people to try and pirate it instead. If I was intending to buy and heard about all of this I would be tempted to pirate it myself.

I hope this guy thinks getting to a 5th prestige before everyone else is worth a 5,000$ fine.

I doubt he pirated it, probably just either a customer who saw it early and bought from a local store or an employee who stole it from the back.
