    I would love to have the gamertag wtd bc it seems inactive and also the gamerscore is at 0

    Reset Inactive Accounts Gamertags

    I think resetting inactive players gamertags would be a good thing. Why should a person who has not been active since 2007 and has 0 gamerscore have a gamertag that they don't even use? Just a thought though.

    LOCKED - Expired Gamertags

    There is a Gamertag that I really want and the person who has it has never used his account. 0 Gamerscore No Rep, Silver account never online, inactive for years . Can xbox clear his gamertag so i can have it ? The gamertag i want is Kayzah

    5 years is fine.Another thing to consider is that gamertags are used on other services,not just xbox live,so just because a account has 0 Gamerscore does not mean it's inactive.

    The way it works now is that if a gamertag does not sign in for 5 years it is then freed up.

    They changed it mainly due to the reason Farscape mentioned.

    Another thing to remember is that gamertags are used on other services,not just xbox live,so you have no way of knowing whether a gamertag is inactive or not.

    Just because a gamertag has 0 Gamerscore or no games played does not mean it isn't being used.

    How to submit a ticket for requesting an inactive account gamertag to be reset?

    How do you know it's inactive? Gamertags are used on several Microsoft services,not just Xbox live,so there is no way to know if a gamertag is inactive or not.

    Just because a gamertag has low gamerscore of hasn't logged into Xbox live for a certain amount of time does not mean it's inactive.

    Gamer Tags: available, unavailable & inactive accounts

    The earliest any unused gamertags would be made available again is around August 2021.As from 2019,if a account is not signed into on any of microsofts services for 2 years then it may be made available but there are restrictions to this.

    If a account is banned then the gamertag is also made unavailable.

    You need to remember that gamertags are used on other Microsoft services so just because a profile has 0 gamerscore & looks inactive doesn't mean that it is.

    Do you know if there is any sort of appeals process for unused gamertags? I have the same situation, where the 'Davros' account seems to be inactive (I.e. No Rep, Gamerscore, Gamerzone, etc.)
