I wasn't able to migrate my Mojang Account to Microsoft, can i still do it?

Gillian, unfortunately the migration process from Mojang to Microsoft ended on December 15, 2023, from that date there is no longer any possibility of migrating an account for the Minecraft game.

Me too. I wasn't able to migrate in time, because work is a big part of my life. I can't even see my old mojang account that is usually in the 'Go back' tab anymore. So even if i wanted to Migrate, i am unable to do so.

Hi Freddy7372, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Once we have migrated our Mojang account to Microsoft account we should still be able to access the Minecraft Java Edition because it's included on what will be migrated as long as we're using the correct Microsoft account where the Mojang account was migrated.

1. Please double-check you are logging in to the same Microsoft account you used to migrate your Mojang account.

2. Make sure you are not logging in with your Mojang account. Migrated accounts will only be able to log in with your Microsoft account.

Kindly sign out your account on Minecraft Launcher then restart your PC before signing back in.

That's the issue, it wasn't linked to a Microsoft account at the time, as it was hacked in 2021, before the migration stuff which came about in 2023 or so. Thats why I tried to go via mojang themseleves at first, but as I say they just pass off any and all account issues to Microsoft now. Then when I got the new account, which used my current Microsoft account (the one I'm posting these support messages through), which uses the same email address that the old mojang account used. So it's unfortunately not a case of regaining access to a Microsoft account, I'd need to be able to access the old mojang account which I'm pretty sure I can't do that anymore, that is why I asked about migrating the username over, as I don't believe the old account was ever migrated in the first place and so shouldn't be an active account anymore as you can't play on mojang accounts?

The xbox account still exists. I'm looking at it now. The email itself was deleted by Cox services. And I wasn't talking about account merger, I did that after they replaced the email on Mojang account. I told them the username and email connected to the mojang account and they verified I was the owner and added a working email to the account so I could reset the password and then once I had access to the account I was able to merge it with my microsoft account.

If they could do the same with my old xbox account (that was never connected to a microsoft account cus back in the day they werent the same thing) and then I can reset the password once they add my working email to it.
