    I was updating Minecraft on my xbox but the update froze at 0%. Im also not able to cancel the download of the update. It also seems to be slowing down my Xbox by a lot.

    Please try the following steps one at a time to resolve the issue:



    Solution 1: Do a power cycle to clear the cache of the console



    1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

    Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    3. Plug the console power cable back in.

    4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.

    Solution 2: Try setting up manual DNS settings and see if the update continues properly.

    1. Please go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > DNS settings >> manual

    2. Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222

    3. Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

    Solution 3: Please try setting up a mobile hotspot connection using your phone, then connect the console to the hotspot connection. Try to check if you can continue the update.

    My Xbox one s is not letting me install or update minecraft.

    I have tried all 3 options above but still an issue.

    For me, the installation is stuck on 0% and I can’t cancel or pause it, nor can I update anything else. I can’t uninstall Minecraft either. Also, in storage setting, it states there is 0 saved data for Minecraft, I’m not sure if this is an issue. I have years of progress I don’t want to lose.

    Is there anything else to try?

    Why do a have to install the entire game after I cancel an update ?

    I had to cancel the update because it froze and I couldn't do anything about it so that's ridiculous, I thought xbox was better than ps4 but it's more laggy and installing updates is way more annoying

    also im just kinda hoping if minecraft updates itself later again i thought maybe it would fix the issue.

    also i did try to update my computer and other stuff no luck.

    Cant Sign In To Profile

    I was able to delete my profile and clear the cache. I went to the My Xbox menu I scrolled over to profiles and it said 0 (which it should be since I just deleted it) and once I pressed on the Profiles menu it froze. When I restarted my Xbox everything
    was there including my gamer tag. Im going to try and do these steps again. Stay tuned.
