I was suspended for 1 year I was wondering if it was a mistake or not

You need to goto https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/help/family-online-safety/enforcement/enforcement-history and from there see if you can appeal your suspension. It will also show you why you were suspended for the year.

No one here can tell you the reason as the enforcement team don't use the forums.

You would need to go to the enforcement site HERE for info & to file for a case review if eligible.

It can sometimes take the enforcement site a while to update though.

Usually a year suspension means you have several suspensions already or what ever you did was so severe a years suspension was issued.

tell you exactly why.

When you purchase gold through Xbox it turns on auto-renewal. If you don't turn it off and your subscriptions renews but they are unable to charge you, they suspend your account until you pay for that new subscription that started.
