Follow this step and try again, please.

Clean your console's MAC and restart your internet devices.

Network Settings> Advanced Settings> MAC Address and Clear.

I'm having the same issue with trying to chat with a friend, we have both restarted our x boxs and both our nat types are open, I can join his group simply just not chat, please help!

I'm glad this isn't just me. My friends and I have had the, apparently common, problem of party chat randomly dropping people but today I was playing a game with my friend and the party dropped and then I couldn't reconnect with him. Not terribly uncommon.
The weird part is we both reset our XBox's and now we can't see when the other person is online or if one of us can the other can't. Either way we can't connect via chat of any kind. We checked and both our settings are set to online.

I've often reflected back on some awesome memories. Just being in random open world games with people gathering around talking. The division beta was hilarious for proximity game chat, remember in the dark zone we were having a spot of trouble with a dude
going Rouge. Evidently he had bothered a few others and we were all in game chat whispering and going down secret alley ways trying to talk quietly because of proximity chat haha. People kept popping up out of nowhere.

But a memory i will never forget, is when i found my first group of friends on xbox shortly after i finally made my own account, after sharing my brothers account. Anywho, this group of friends made a clan and we ended up all being irl friends. My now boyfriend
was in that group, a few of us lived locally and would all gather to have xbox parties.

Its now amazing that this group have all grown so much together. Watching some of them now married, becoming first time parents and living together. All thanks to xbox we met

Myself and my bf now live together and it all started by playing online and going from a friend on xbox to my very best friend in life and best team mate.

Truly humbling to reflect back on.

There's so many awesome humbling moments that sometimes still make me sit back and appreciate the xbox community.
