i was looking to change my name and i went on another account to change it there but it now...

When you checked for the tag on the other account, it reserves the gamertag temporarily since it thinks your about to use it on that account.

I went to change my name, and i hit the middle button to stop the changing of the name, and it changed my name over xbox and not on my console... i just need to find out the email so i can recover the account.

Found another solution earlier this morning.

I was strolling through the settings and decided to change my Xbox's name.

Once it completely restarted after the name change all of the problems I had earlier went away.

Ive gone through social.xbox and changed my gamertag already but it wasnt changed when i went on my game.

Just recently i changed my gamertag to “do you cuss” thinking it was funny and in the moment it was but now i want to change my name back to what it originally was. I used my free name change to chamge my gamertag, i talked to support and they said
that free items dont appear in the order history. Is there any possible way i can change my name back to my original name that was 15 letters?

You will not get a another free name change once you have used the free one, also you will not get your old name back as the limit is now 12 characters so you will have to think of another name.
