You can do both! Just remember, if you have a game disc then you can install and run the game using the disc. If you don't have a disc, you can purchase the game from the Xbox Store right from your console or from the Xbox website. Just to clarify, owning
the game on disc does not entitle you to a digital copy/download of the game. 'Digital copies' will have to be purchased from the Store before you can download and play them, even if you already own that game on disc. Digital copies once purchased can be downloaded
as many times as you want, whenever you want. Hope this makes things clearer!

Did you purchase the game on disc or a digital copy from the Microsoft store? If it was a disc, then you will have to pay for the game again, as Xbox Play Anywhere only works with digital games. If it was a digital copy from the Microsoft Store, then logging
in on Windows 10 with the same account that purchased will let you download it to your Windows 10 device.

If the disc says Xbox One on it, then it will only work on the Xbox One. You would need to purchase a digital copy either through the Xbox store or Windows store in order to play it on the PC.
