before i start i want u all to know im new to these forums i dont really understand them.

so i was a preview member on my 360 and i got early access to internet explorer and a diffrent dashoboard, my question is whyarnt i one one the xbone? And how do i fix that?

Sorry but no, the policy is there because once an unauthorized service is done Microsoft has no way of knowing what has been done to the system. It makes it difficult for them to repair and if they did repair anything they'd be culpable for any damages
done by the unauthorized repair.

It seems--to me--that your only other recourse would be to bring up a civil suit against the insurance company if they refuse to accept responsibility for this. Sadly it would cost you more in court costs to sue them than it would be to buy an Xbox One
let alone a 360.

I need your help and understanding

Hi my home was involved in a fire and my x-box was taken by a restoration company to be (cleaned) anyway they opened it and it came back not working. I sent the console to you guys service #1229191204 and I got an e-mail back saying it won't be fixed because
of tampering. I did not open the console and if I knew that the restoration company was going to instead of sending it to you I would have kept it and sent it to you. The x-box is not very old and it was expensive (the new halo edition) and I would really
like to get it repaired. I will pay to have it fixed if that's what needs to happen. I thank you in advance and hope that you guys will help me out.

I've had the same problem as well and i am a preview member and was told by xbox technical support to reach out to the preview program technical support for help or a new replacement console. So if there are any preview people looking in these forums i need
some help in fixing my xbox.

I did and the depreciated value isn't even close to being able to purchase a new x-box. All I am asking is can I pay to get it fixed or not?

I suggest you (or your parents) take it up with your insurance company and the restoration company as they would presumably be legally liable especially given the non-working state of the console.

Just so you know though insurance companies are evil and give you the "depreciated value" of whatever you insure. They of course are the one's to figure out this "depreciated value" but I've heard many, many horror stories of getting pennies on the dollar
for what it would cost to replace the item.
