    I didn't want to spend 20,000 points for 1 month of Ultimate. I didn't activate my code. Can I please get my 20,000 points back?

    The fine print on the Rdeem page does not mention the conversion of 3 months to 1 month:

    If you had Xbox Game Pass Ultimate already active before you redeem that code, when you enter a code for Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass it will add as Game Pass Ultimate and not only Xbox Game Pass, is this your case?

    You would have to contact
    Microsoft Rewards support     to see if they can refund the points.

    to use a regular gold or game pass code and keep the full amount, you would either need to cancel Ultimate, or use the code after your current subscription expires.

    I had the same issue, but it doesn't redeem as 1 month, it redeems as 50 days due to the conversion rate based on the monetary value of Live Gold compared to Ultimate Game Pass
    (it isn't clear on the redeem page as I think it states 1 month+ when it should say 1 month+20 days approx.).

    it is actually a good deal as you can only get 1 month of UGP for the same number of reward points as 3 months Gold, so you are really getting 20 days extra UGP for free by getting the 3 months Gold and converting it.

    whatever you do, if you have more than 1 month of UGP left before renewal
    Do Not Cancel Ultimate Game Pass as you will only get back the £/$1 that you payed to upgrade existing Gold/Game Pass to Ultimate. any Gold or Game Pass you had before the upgrade will be lost. you are better off turning off recurring
    billing in your Services and Subscriptions and enjoying the added benefits of UGP until it runs out, then get Gold.

    Xbox live gold to game pass ultimate conversion

    If you have gold before you convert it to.ultimate it's 1:1 up to 36 months

    If you have ultimate and redeem a gold code it's only 1:3 !
